Mike, from Pennsylvania in the USA, joined Swallow in 2025. After school, he joined the US military and saw active service before studying for a BSc in biology. He qualified as a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine in 2003. After working for several years in pathology and medical technology he decided to take a course in teaching English, moved to Costa Rica and began his career as an English teacher. He also started performing as a stand-up comedian. Mike speaks Spanish and Norwegian and is learning Czech. He’s keen on hiking and fitness. Mike teaches adult one-to-one and group classes.
